Loft Conversion, Lostwithiel

A bungalow with an existing flat roof extension at the rear, the client’s wanted to extend into the roof space of the original house to create an extra bedroom and new bathroom. Some internal alterations allowed new stairs to be constructed in the lounge, and several rooflights were incorporated to bring light into the loft.

A steel beam provides support to the existing ceiling, making it strong enough to take the weight of people and furniture.
