Listed Farmhouse, Coombe

This charming small holding with its Grade II Listed stone farmhouse and outbuildings was in a poor state of repair. The farmhouse was unsuitable for habitation, it was proposed to refurbish and extend it for our clients, who wished to live in the cottage and restore the land to a workable farm with pastures and orchards. The agricultural holding had not been used as such for approximately thirteen years.

The outbuildings were to be refurbished as well, for use as stores in conjunction with the land.

We had to rework a previous application as this had a lack of support for some of the proposed elements. We subsequently used a traditional design for the conservatory and removed elements that were taking away from the character of the building. We also added stonework to finish the conservatory and lean-to.

Status: Works complete.
